PROUD OF OUR ROOTS

The real gem of Marques del Silvo is the vineyard, with 150 hectares of vineyards cultivated at an altitude between 560 m and 700 m over clayey-calcareous soils, deep and draining, very poor in organic matter thereby favoring the growth of the best quality grapes,
All this, together with the special microclimate with clearly Mediterranean influence on the valley, and continental on the side of the Iberian System, give rise to wines with a unique maturation capacity and distinctive profiles.
The main varieties growing in the old vineyards of the Marqués del Silvo are Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano. They are enviable old, more than 70 years of age, and they all are cultivated following strict environmental and sustainability techniques.
Respect between the vineyard and nature.
Aware of the need to continue being an emblem in the best quality techniques of La Rioja, a dedicated and laborious work began to achieve the highest Global Safety and Quality Standards such is IFS Food Certificate (International Featured Standards).

Tempranillo White

This exotic Rioja white wine is made with the local grape variety Tempranillo Blanco. The resulting wine is an extraordinary and crisp interpretation of a grape with much to offer.

This pale yellow color wine has notes of passion fruit and freshly-cut grass in the nose, with touches of white fruits as apples bringing to mind the characteristics from the vineyards. Seductive palate, and citric tones over a smooth background. Flowery aromas and slightly bitter hints which make it an elegant wine which becomes more fatty and balanced with every sip.

Fermentation in steel tanks at temperature of 12ºC, avoiding malolactic fermentation to preserve acidity and natural fruitiness.

Perfect pairing with seafood such steamed clams, grilled fish steaks, white meat , stir-fry and cheese.
